Last year, 262 brave souls took the plunge in Menomonie. The best part? After their bodies returned to 98.6°F and the donations were tallied, they raised more than $57,000 for Special Olympics Wisconsin. Booyah.

Event Schedule

Saturday, February 11

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. FREE Plunge Day Breakfast at The Silver Dollar. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before braving the cold.  Free to Plungers and community members, but a donation is appreciated. Parking available in City Lot #2 behind the Menomonie Visitor Center and in UW-Stout  Lot #1 across the street. Then take a FREE shuttle to the Plunge site at Wakanda Park with curbside drop off.
11:00 a.m. Early Check-in inside the Registration Tent
12:00 p.m. Plunging Begins! Enjoy food, hot cocoa, music and more inside the heated entertainment tent

Check-In

When checking in for the Polar Plunge you must bring the following items:

  • Registration form & Signed Waiver (if you did not register online)
  • Cash and check donations (each team member must have raised a minimum of $75)
  • Any corporate matching gift forms to receive your FREE Polar Plunge hat
